Our tandem pilots
We place your requests and flights with our tandem pilots. The carriage contract is concluded between each passenger and their personal tandem pilot. Every paraglider pilot in our tandem selection has thorough training, many years of flying experience and a DHV tandem licence.
How dangerous is tandem paragliding?
Safety in tandem paragliding matters enormously to every single tandem pilot. The pilot wants to land safely too, and is therefore 100% focused throughout the entire flight. The flying areas of the Chiemsee / Chiemgau region are somewhat easier to judge weather-wise: thanks to the flatter Alpine foothills, you can often see the weather coming. Our tandem pilots can make optimal use of the prevailing north and west winds here.
Tandem jump or tandem flight?
People often say "tandem jump" when they mean paragliding. But a jump suggests leaping into the void, as from an aeroplane. A tandem paragliding flight is fundamentally different: the wing is already open at launch, and you lift off slowly, moving forward. That "leap into the void" feeling simply doesn't exist in paragliding.
